I’m a licensed K–12 reading specialist and former elementary classroom teacher with a passion for helping families make sense of learning challenges. I hold a Masters of Education in Reading Instruction and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Over the years I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade as a classroom teacher, and Grades Pre-K through 6 as an interventionist/tutor. I have worked extensively with students of all kinds of backgrounds and needs, including multilingual students, students learning English, and students with various learning disabilities.Â
My goal is simple: help you understand how your child learns and what they truly need to grow with confidence.
I specialize in assessment and learning support for K–8 students. Instead of guessing or relying on one-size-fits-all programs, I take a thoughtful, individualized approach for each student that I work with. I offer online tutoring services, as well as home learning consultations. To learn more about these services and which is right for your child, click here.Â
I believe children learn best when they feel understood, supported, and confident.
And I believe parents deserve honest answers and practical guidance: not vague advice or endless programs to buy.
My work is:
Evidence-based: grounded in research-backed instructional strategies.Â
Personalized: every child is different, and I teach to your child individually based on their needs and interests.Â
Engaging & Fun: learning should be a fun experience!Â
I strive to be someone your child can feel comfortable learning with, and someone you can trust to give you real answers.
If you’re feeling unsure, worried, or overwhelmed about your child’s learning, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
Learning with Mrs. G is here to help you understand what’s going on, make a plan, and move forward with confidence.
